Shadow work therapy

Holosomatic bodywork

We are not broken or stuck.
We just don't know how to love ourselves.

Shadow work and parts work are ways of exploring the parts of ourselves that we often ignore, hide, or reject. These might be emotions, impulses, or patterns that show up as self-criticism, fear, or repeated behaviors we don’t understand, hide, suppress or judge.

Through shadow work, we gently bring these hidden aspects into awareness, learning to meet them with curiosity and compassion instead of judgment. Parts work helps us notice the different “parts” of our inner world—like the inner critic, the caretaker, or the playful child—and understand how they influence our thoughts, feelings, and actions. we treat each part of ourselves as a distinct presence with its own needs, emotions, and intentions, allowing us to engage with it through awareness, dialogue, and integration.

The goal isn’t to get rid of anything, but to listen, understand, and integrate these parts so you can feel more whole, authentic, and free in your daily life.

When we combine shadow and parts work with body-centered practices, we can start to notice how unacknowledged emotions and past trauma show up in the body. Areas of tension, tightness, or stuck energy—like the shoulders, hips, or abdomen—often reflect these hidden parts of ourselves. By gently bringing awareness to both our inner world and our physical sensations, we can release old patterns, integrate our shadow, and move toward greater self-compassion and emotional balance.

What is shadow work?

What is holosomatic bodywork?

Your body already knows the way.

Holosomatic Bodywork is a body-centered approach that works with the whole human experience—body, emotions, energy, and nervous system—all at once. “Holosomatic” comes from “holo,” meaning whole, and “somatic,” meaning of the body. It’s based on the understanding that life experiences, especially stress and trauma, aren’t just in the mind—they’re held in the body too.

This work uses conscious touch, breath, stillness, and awareness to help release tension and stagnant energy connected to unresolved emotional experiences. Instead of forcing change, it invites the body to guide the healing process. When a sensitive or charged area is held with presence, the nervous system can shift from protection into regulation and safety.

Holosomatic Bodywork supports embodiment, self-regulation, emotional integration, and reconnection with the body. It encourages listening to your own signals, restoring balance, and cultivating a deeper sense of safety, presence, and overall well-being.

Sessions can be offered in person or virtually, and either one-on-one or in group settings. In-person sessions provide the unique experience of the facilitator using conscious touch and energetic guidance directly on the body, allowing the nervous system to release tension in ways that self-touch can’t fully replicate.

Virtual sessions, on the other hand, allow you to engage with your body and emotions from the comfort of your own space, creating a safe and familiar environment to explore bodywork and self-touch that supports deep self-awareness and integration.

"I had 8 weeks of sessions with Lisa, and it was such a positive and grounding experience for me. Coming out of it i'm feeling much more relaxed and patient with myself and others, and like i'm living with more authenticity which feels really good! From the beginning, Lisa created a space where I felt calm, relaxed and comfortable. Her manner is so kind and understanding, which made every session feel safe and supportive. She helped me develop practical skills to better understand myself and my thoughts and she did so with genuine compassion. She always seemed to know the right thing to say, gently guiding me in new directions and helping me realise things about myself I hadn't noticed or understood before. I felt truly listened to and supported throughout and I'm really grateful for the insights, care and encouragement she gives!"
